Section I. Purchase Price & Date

- This dog is being sold to the buyer for the purchase price and on the purchase date shown on this agreement.

Section II. Health Disorder Testing & Prevention

- We are committed to giving the dogs we bring into the world the strongest likelihood of innate health, by meeting or exceeding the veterinary care and health disorder testing recommended by our team of veterinarians, and current and emerging science.

- We consult with experts including general practice veterinarians as well as board certified specialist veterinarians in theriogenology, radiology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and other specialties as needed.

- We maintain complete transparency and make public all health disorder testing results for our dogs.

- We follow up on the dogs we breed throughout their lives, with the help of the dogs' families, through voluntary yearly surveys. The health and behavior information provided is reported to Functional Dog Data, a platform for dog registries, breeding co-operatives, and other organizations to store health and pedigree information.

- Standard health disorder testing for all dogs selected for breeding (and other available relatives) includes veterinary examination and imaging to determine the structural health of hips, elbows, patellas, hearts, and eyes. DNA panels are also processed, to verify genetic status of testable breed specific disorders.

- Before breeding, our female dog is fully evaluated by a theriogenologist (a board certified veterinary specialist in reproduction) including bloodwork to confirm that she is in excellent health.

- During pregnancy, our top priority for our female dog is her health and her physical and mental comfort. We follow best practices including massage, maintaining her fitness through exercise and play appropriate to her stage of pregnancy, and a healthy, varied diet.

- Litters are evaluated daily for health and physical and behavioral function, and fully examined with a written evaluation by a veterinarian after seven weeks of age.

- Dogs sold or placed after eight weeks of age up to and including adult dogs receive additional examinations and health disorder testing as they mature under our care, and when sold or placed are up to date on veterinary care.

- Structural health disorder testing results and certifications for this dog’s parents

- DNA health disorder results for this dog and this dog's parents 

Section III. Proper Lifetime Care

The buyer agrees to:

-  Provide routine and as-needed veterinary care including but not limited to regular exams, vaccinations, parasite control, and diagnosis and treatment of illness or injuries as advised by their veterinarian. Veterinary health insurance coverage is recommended.

- Prevent this dog from reproducing, and spay or neuter this dog no later than 18 months of age or as advised by their veterinarian.

- Feed this dog a balanced diet and maintain it at a healthy weight as advised by their veterinarian.

- Provide grooming for this dog's health and comfort including regular brushing and combing, bathing and coat trimming, eye and ear care, and nail care.

- Exercise this dog appropriately based on its age and fitness level.

- Protect this dog from adverse environmental conditions and dangers from extreme temperatures or weather.

- Maintain this dog as an indoor pet, including sleeping indoors overnight.

- Provide this dog lifelong enrichment and training as needed for its mental and behavioral health.

Section IV. Rehoming and Right of Return

- The buyer agrees they will not resell this dog for a profit.

- The buyer agrees that they will not surrender this dog to a shelter or rescue for any reason. 

- If the buyer wishes to rehome this dog, they may reach out to us for assistance.

- We will accept return of this dog for any reason at any time throughout its life.
