As we head into our last Utah winter, I'm feeling some pre-nostalgia and find myself thinking things like, "Last Thanksgiving in Utah coming up".

My brother and his family also live here in Utah, and we're both heading east to new home states and new beginnings in 2026. It's exciting! But a little sad to leave friends and neighbors we love.

It's too early to start packing, but not too early to start sorting through everything we own to decide what's coming with us. A big but satisfying task to enter the next phase of life lighter with "stuff".

The Doodles don't know what's in store for them yet, of course, but I know they too will love meeting new friends and neighbors and having brand new walks and parks to explore.
