Our first priority is the welfare and happiness of our Doodles - our guardian program allows us to find loving, permanent homes for the male puppies who we would like to use for future breeding, in a family who will give them all the time and personal attention they deserve.
Details
- If you qualify, you will receive one of our top pick male puppies and you will be their permanent home.
- You will pay only a deposit of $500.00 for your puppy. This amount is fully refundable to you at the end of the guardian period.
- We retain breeding rights starting after your Doodle is fully health tested at two years old up until he is four years old.
- By four years old (possibly earlier if we decide not to use the dog in our program) we will pay for his neuter surgery, refund your $500.00 deposit, and sign over full ownership to you.
Qualifications
- You live within a 1 hour drive of the Piedmont Triad, North Carolina.
- You do not plan to relocate within the next four years.
- You have a secure, fenced yard.
- You are an excellent communicator and flexible on drop offs, pickups, veterinary appointments, and other necessary access to the dog.
Our responsibilities during the guardian period
- We pay for veterinary health insurance and all breeding-related veterinary care including health disorder testing, pre-breeding health checks, collection and storage of semen for future breedings, and the dog's neuter surgery by four years old.
- We offer free grooming as often as every two weeks at our location, or you may use a groomer of your choice at your expense.
Your responsibilities during the guardian period
- You will commit to keeping current on all routine veterinary care including checkups, vaccinations, and parasite prevention. You are responsible for the cost of all non-breeding veterinary care not covered by insurance.
- You will pay for all normal expenses for a pet dog including food, training, etc.
- You will provide consistent training and socialization.
- You will prevent any accidental or unauthorized breeding of the dog.
